The service noted that the 11 planned procurement contracts projected for the next 11 months are subject to change, according to a sources sought notice published Thursday.
A follow-on to an existing contract used for providing commercial Ku-band satcom services to the U.S. Marine Corps is the largest contract listed in the Space Force’s Forecast to Industry and is anticipated to be awarded in August. The potential five-year contract is valued at approximately $620 million to $630 million and solicitation for this requirement is expected to be released in March.
Another requirement listed is a recompete of a contract used to deliver Inmarsat’s airborne broadband and Global Xpress services to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. A request for proposals is expected to be released this December for the potential five-year follow-on contract, which is worth between $240 million and $250 million and could be awarded in February.
The Space Force said solicitation for a potential five-year contract for the Satcom as a Managed Service pilot program is expected to be released in November. The new contract worth less than $100 million covers global leased terminals and services and could be awarded in July.
