Southwest Valley Constructors Awarded $524M Modification on Tucson Border Fence Replacement Contract

Southwest Valley Constructors has received a $524M contract modification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to continue design-build services for a barrier wall replacement project in Tucson, Ariz.

USACE obligated the full amount of the modification and estimated that SWVC will complete work by Sept. 7, 2021, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The company initially won $646M last year to replace the fencing structure on the Tucson sector, which encompasses 262 miles of border area covering the New Mexico state and Yuma county lines.
