Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Sikorsky subsidiary has secured a potential five-year, $4.4 billion contract from the U.S. Army to manufacture and deliver up to 255 H-60M Black Hawk helicopters to the service branch and foreign military sales customers.
The agreement has a base value of $2.3 billion for 120 combat assault utility helicopters and an option for 135 additional aircraft, Lockheed said Monday.
Sikorsky is scheduled to begin deliveries under the new contract in July.
The Army obligated $478.1 million in fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement funds at the time of the award, according to a Department of Defense notice.
Lockheed said the award marks the 10th multiyear agreement Sikorsky has received from the U.S. government to supply multiple variants of the H-60 platform to the Army and international allies.
