Cybersecurity services provider ShorePoint has acquired Chantilly, Va.-based information security and data analytics company Cyberyllium for an undisclosed sum to grow offerings and engagements in the government sector.
Gainesville, Va.-based ShorePoint said Tuesday it plans to use Cyberyllium’s data transformation experience and Elasticsearch platform to support ongoing federal cybersecurity initiatives such as the Department of Homeland Security’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program.
Ryan McCullough, chief strategy officer of ShorePoint, will lead integration and go-to-market efforts for the combined company.
Cyberyllium also offers cybersecurity consulting, system integration, security information management, threat intelligence and big data analytics services.
Matt Brown, co-founder and CEO of ShorePoint, said the company seeks to support the CDM initiative’s transition to a dashboard platform based on an open-source stack comprised of Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana tools.
