Three joint ventures and four independent companies have won spots on a potential five-year, $249M contract from the U.S. Navy to renovate, build or repair wet utilities at government-owned installations across Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s Southwest area of responsibility.
Contractors will support projects related to steam, wastewater, storage tanks, treatment plants and water infrastructure, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
Sixteen proposals were submitted to the Navy for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive small business set-aside procurement on the military service’s e-commerce website.
The Navy will obligate $35K in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Work is scheduled to occur through November 2023 at various locations in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and California.
