According to SES Space & Defense, it has partnered with several satcom providers to create a managed service that combines ultra-high-frequency, L, C, X, Ku and military Ka band. The connectivity offering will be deployed within USEUCOM area of responsibility, which encompasses all of Europe and portions of Asia, the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans.
In addition, the company will supply commercial teleport and terrestrial transport backhaul services that comply with the standards of the Risk Management Framework.
The contract also includes provision of program management, bandwidth management and network monitoring services.
According to David Fields, president and CEO of SES Space & Defense, the BPA enables the Department of Defense to rapidly acquire commercial satcom for USEUCOM.
“To support the DoD needs we have assembled a team comprised of the best in the industry to deliver multi-band, multi-orbit COMSATCOM capabilities that provide alternate SATCOM paths for greater network resiliency and flexibility required to achieve mission success,” he added.
