Douglas Bruder, associate director for global security at Sandia National Laboratories, has been appointed to Ensco‘s board of directors.
Bruder has gained nearly four decades of public and private sector experience across national security programs, including 13 years as a Senior Executive Service member of the federal government, Ensco said Wednesday.
He came to Sandia in 2017 after his one-year stint as Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) vice president, chief strategist and strategic account executive focused on the company’s weapons of mass destruction and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive portfolio, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Before his tenure at Leidos, Bruder worked as director of research and development for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. He also served as director of DTRA’s Combating WMD Support organization and a special assistant and liaison to the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Defense Programs.
The former Naval Sea Systems Command submarine engineer received two Presidential Rank Awards during his government career.
