Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has secured a potential $255 million contract from an undisclosed customer to provide systems engineering and technical assurance services for space-related missions within the continental U.S.
The company said Thursday it will develop mission-planning tools with a model-based system engineering platform as part of the contract.
Mark Escobar, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s national security customer group, said the company has supported space missions over the past four and a half decades.
œOur team will work to continue to gain efficiencies by streamlining processes, introduce innovations such as Model Based System Engineering, and identify and manage risk for our customer, he added.
