SAIC said Monday the realignment will take effect on Feb. 3 and will replace the company’s two business sectors – defense and civilian and national security and space – with the new business groups.
“This builds upon our recent decision to centralize our business development function to prioritize the quality and pace at which we execute our market opportunities,” said SAIC CEO Toni Townes-Whitley.
The company is conducting an external search for an executive who will lead the new civilian group, which will cover SAIC’s civilian, health and state and local businesses.
Four SAIC senior vice presidents will be promoted to executive VPs and will report directly to Townes-Whitley.
Effective Feb. 2, Wash100 Award recipients Bob Genter and Michael LaRouchewill step down from their roles as presidents of defense and civilian sector and national security and space sector at SAIC, respectively, to pursue other career opportunities.
