Carol Pottenger
Carol Pottenger, a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral and former senior U.S. flag officer at NATO, has joined the board of directors at Serco Inc., the British contractor’s Americas region subsidiary.
Her 36-year military career has included roles such as division officer, department head, executive officer and commanding officer aboard combat support and repair vessels, Serco Inc. said Thursday.
Pottenger was the first female admiral to manage an expeditionary strike group along with a logistics force composed of 30 vessels and 40,000 expeditionary sailors.

Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc., said Pottenger brings strategic leadership experience as the company aims to grow its defense market presence.
“Additionally, her expertise in business management, human capital development and financial acumen will be utilized across Serco,” Dacquino added.
She is the owner and principal of CMP Global that offers business development, corporate governance, cyber and information systems, process improvement and strategic planning support services.
Pottenger also serves on multiple advisory, defense and non-profit boards such as the PwC‘s board of partners and principals.
