Chad Sheridan, a senior official at the Department of Agriculture's Farm Production and Conservation Business Center, will leave USDA by the end of this month to join information technology and management consulting services provider NetImpact Strategies, FedScoop reported Wednesday.
The report said Sheridan will serve as chief innovation officer of NetImpact when he formally joins the Falls Church, Va.-based company in mid-February.
He is the chief of service delivery and operations at the FPAC Business Center, which provides IT operations support to the Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service and Risk Management Agency.
Sheridan will bring to NetImpact his more than 25 years of government service, which includes time as chief information officer of the USDA RMA.
He also held leadership roles at the U.S. Navy for more than 18 years before he moved to the department in 2011.
NetImpact is a woman-owned company that offers IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud and data intelligence services to the public sector.
