The Government Accountability Office has denied a protest of a potential $2 billion contract for information technology services the National Security Agency awarded to AT&T (NYSE: T) in October 2017, Nextgov reported Tuesday.
The contract awarded through the classified Groundbreaker program was put on hold after DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) filed a bid protest with GAO.
The Groundbreaker program was launched in 2001 to provide NSA a vehicle to purchase private cloud platforms and other mission-critical IT systems.
The report said the contract is the second of three Groundbreaker contracts and came a month after NSA awarded a potential $2.4 billion recompete contract to CSRA (NYSE: CSRA) for technology services.
GAO said in a Jan. 18 notice that it will publicly release a redacted version of its decision as the protest is under a protective order.
