Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) missile systems business has secured a $127.1 million contract modification to provide 155mm Excalibur projectiles to the U.S. Army.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday Raytheon will perform contract work through April 30, 2019 in Arizona, California, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Sweden and the U.K.
The Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity and the service branch obligated the full modification amount from its fiscal 2015 and 2017 “other” procurement funds.
Excalibur is an extended-range precision weapon system developed by Raytheon and BAE Systems‘ Bofors subsidiary for use on various gun systems such as the M777, M109, M198 and PzH2000 howitzers.
