Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) self protect systems business has received a potential seven-year, $460 million contract to supply line- and shop-replaceable units for the U.S. Air Force‘s radar warning receiver system.
The company will fabricate, integrate, test and deliver the components for the AN/ALR69A digital RWR system under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
Work will take place in Goleta, California, and Forest, Mississippi, through March 2025.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Electronic Warfare division will obligate $18.9 million at the time of award from fiscal 2016 and 2017 National Guard and Reserve Equipment Account procurement; and fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
AFLCMC received one offer for the IDIQ via a competitive acquisition process.
Raytheon said AN/ALR-69A has been installed on the service branch’s C-130H, KC-46A and ALR-69A platforms and is currently undergoing tests on the F-16 aircraft.
