Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has secured a potential seven-year, $534M contract to develop a thermal viewer system for the U.S. Army and provide related engineering services. The company will also provide azimuth drive assemblies, armor components and spare kits for the Horizontal Technology Integration Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared Commander™s Independent Thermal Viewer program, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Army Contracting Command solicited one bid for the cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract. DoD expects the company to finish work by Aug. 23, 2026.
