Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) recorded $6.6 billion in net sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2018, reflecting a 5.5 percent increase from the same period last year.
The company said Thursday it logged $8.7 billion in Q2 bookings and $1.2 billion in operating cash flow related to second-quarter continuing operations.
The defense contractor posted $39.9 billion in backlog at the end of Q2 2018, which represents a 10.3 percent hike from the prior year period.
The companys integrated defense systems segment reported a 4 percent increase in its Q2 net sales compared with the same quarter in 2017, while the intelligence, information and services segment recorded an 8 percent hike in Q2 revenue.
Raytheons missile systems segment saw its net sales rise 8 percent to $2 billion for the second quarter of 2018, driven by several contract bookings including $933 million for Standard Missile-3; $167 million for Tomahawk; and $205 million for tube-launched, optically-tracked wireless-guided missiles.
The contractors space and airborne systems segment and Forcepoint business respectively posted $1.6 billion and $148 million in Q2 revenue.
