Polaris Alpha has purchased Columbia, Maryland-based Fourth Dimension Engineering for an undisclosed sum in a push to expand its footprint in the cybersecurity market.
Fourth Dimension co-founders Tom Conrad and Faith Horowitz will join Polaris Alpha™s leadership team as a result of the transaction that officially closed Wednesday, April 11, Polaris Alpha said Monday.
Fourth Dimension provides cyber platforms, software and hardware development, custom wireless platforms and mechanical and electric design and development services to government and commercial clients.
Geoff Bloom, executive vice president for cyber and signals intelligence at Polaris Alpha, said the company aims to build up its cyber offering through the integration of Fourth Dimension™s hardware expertise and experience in quick reaction cyber platforms delivery with Polaris Alpha™s cyber and SIGINT capabilities.
The transaction came six months after Polaris Alpha acquired Denver, Colorado-based Solidyn Solutions in an effort to advance the development of space-based systems for national security customers.
