Polaris Alpha has acquired Denver, Colorado-based engineering and cloud computing services provider Solidyn Solutions for an undisclosed sum in a push to accelerate the development of space-based systems for national security clients.
Peter Cannito, CEO of Polaris Alpha, said in a statement published Monday the company made the acquisition to also expand its presence in the space and command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance markets.
Michael Pearson and J. Andrew Marshall, former co-owners of Solidyn Solutions, will serve as senior vice presidents within Polaris Alpha’s mission solutions business unit.
Solidyn offers satellite mission, cloud computing, virtualization, information assurance, data processing and command-and-control system support services to defense and intelligence agencies.
