Phoenix Logistics Wins $516M Army Contract to Develop Warfighter Training Tools

Phoenix Logistics has won a potential 10-year, $516M contract from the U.S. Army to develop tools for a simulation-based technology platform that supports digital mission command training activities.

The company will work to incorporate new warfighting functions into the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Army Contracting Command received two bids for the project via an online solicitation process.

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) helped develop JLCCTC through a $146M contract awarded in April 2013.

The system is designed to hone commanders’ and staff members’ warfighting skills via a simulated environment as well as help them update standard operating procedures, according to the Army.

DoD expects Gilbert, Ariz.-based Phoenix Logistics to finish contract work by March 16, 2030.
