Peter Trainer
Peter Trainer, a former executive at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), has joined BAE Systems U.S. subsidiary as vice president and general manager of Air Force solutions business area.
He will oversee a business unit within BAE Systems Inc.s intelligence and security sector that modernizes, tests and maintains aircraft, missile systems, radars and other technology platforms for the service branch and combatant commands, the company said Monday.

Al Whitmore, president of BAEs intelligence and security sector, said Trainer has experience in managing a portfolio of programs across the areas of space operations, cybersecurity, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, sustainment and enterprise information technology.
Whitmore, a 2018 Wash100 recipient, added that Trainer shares the companys commitment to address the Air Forces agility and readiness requirements with novel systems.
Trainer previously served as VP and Air Force operations manager at SAIC.
Prior to SAIC, he worked at Scitor as VP and sector director for defense services.
The 30-year U.S. Air Force veteran served on the services legislative liaison staff and as a senior individual mobilization augmentee to the head of the National Reconnaissance Office.
Trainer is a board member of the Space Foundation and vice chair of the board of directors at The Citadels School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
