Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) has received a potential five-year, $89.5M task order to continue to help the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services maintain the Medicare Part B claims processing system.
The Chantilly, Va.-based company said Tuesday it will provide life cycle services for system maintenance, user and production support and other application maintenance assistance for the Medicare Part B processing system that handles over 900M claims on an annual basis.
Mac Curtis, Perspecta president and CEO, said the award seeks to reflect the company’s partnership and continued support to CMS’ Medicare modernization initiatives since it secured the Part B Shared System Maintainer contract in 1997.
The company received the task order under the potential 10-year, $25B Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness contract vehicle CMS released in 2016.
Perspecta also provides hosting support to the agency’s four Medicare Fee-for-Service claims processing platforms as well as operations and maintenance services to the Integrated Data Repository and Medicare FFS Part A claims processing system.
