Parsons has won a $145 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide design-build services to a waste treatment facility construction project at Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Virginia.
“The new facility will be a critical component in modernizing waste disposal, as well as mitigating emissions during the process to help protect the surrounding community,” said Jon Moretta, president of engineering systems at Parsons.
For the project, the company will help USACE build a thermal treatment system to treat hazardous energetic waste materials from the government-owned, contractor-operated military weapons factory.
