Paragon Systems has secured a potential five-year, $95.6M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Department of Homeland Security to deploy armed security officers who can protect federal personnel and property at various locations in Virginia.
DHS’ Federal Protective Service announced the contract award in a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday.
The Herndon, Va.-based company will supervise and train protective security officers as well as provide materials, permits and licenses as part of the IDIQ. The department expects them to obtain top secret clearances prior to performance of work.
The contract has a base period of 12 months with four one-year options and an optional six-month extension.
DHS procured the contract through a full and open competitive basis.
