Palantir will support a U.S. Army project to integrate large volumes of data from disparate systems under a potential four-year, $110M other transaction agreement, FedScoop reported Thursday.
The company will develop prototypes as part of the services Vantage program. Formerly Army Leader Dashboard, the program aims to provide more visibility to the military branchs classified, unclassified, unstructured and structured data through an analytics, visualization and integration platform.
Work on the Vantage program is now underway. The OTA, which was awarded in mid-December, could reach more than $400M in total, according to the report.
The problem for Armys leaders and commanders at every level is youre trying to make decisions off of accurate data but the data is stored in so many places, its often very hard to figure out whats going on, said Doug Philippone, lead of global defense at Palantir. What we did was integrate thousands and thousands of different data tables together so that you can make better decisions.
