The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) a potential $98 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to operate and maintain command-and-control systems for the U.S. Strategic Command.
Northrop will provide software and systems engineering, installation, integration, security, testing and administrative support services to Stratcom and its combatant and component commands, the Defense Department said Monday.
The company will also support other authorized users of Stratcom communications and computer systems that utilize common applications, decision toolsets and integrated information within a synchronized information environment.
Work is scheduled to occur through Feb. 28, 2023, at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.
The 55th Contracting Squadron received one bid for the contract and obligated $45,000 from the Air Force’s fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
