Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a potential seven-year, $110 million contract to provide networked cruise missile prototypes to the U.S. Air Force.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday that Northrop’s space and mission systems business will design, develop, manufacture and test cruise missiles that can help defeat adversarial air defense systems.
The Air Force Research Laboratory received seven proposals for the “Gray Wolf” science and technology demonstration contract via a competitive procurement.
Work will occur in Redondo Beach, California, through Dec. 17, 2024.
The service branch has obligated $3 million in fiscal 2017 and fiscal 2018 research and development funds at the time of award.
