The U.S. Navy has awarded 11 service-disabled, veteran-owned companies positions on a potential five-year, $92.3 million contract for information technology support services to the Naval Higher Education Information Technology Consortium.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday contractors will provide IT support to NHEITC member institutions such as the Naval Postgraduate School, the Naval War College and the U.S. Naval Academy under the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The service branch received 18 bids for the IDIQ through a small business set-aside solicitation on the FedBizOpps and Navy Electronic Commerce Online websites.
DoD noted the contract’s base period will run through July 2018 and work could extend for another four years if all options are exercised.
The Navy will obligate $1,000 in fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds to each contractor at the time of award.
