The U.S. Navy has awarded six companies spots on a potential five-year, $49 million to provide construction and renovation services for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
NAVFAC awarded the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive procurement process with seven offers received, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The design-build contract contains a base term of one year and four one-year options and also covers repairs, alteration and demolition work for airfield, aircraft traffic control, hangar, dormitory, administrative, community support and training facilities within NAVFACs southeast area of responsibility.
Work could run through April 2021 if all options are exercised, according to DoD.
The awardees are:
Eagle Fire
Siemens Government Technologies

VSC Fire and Security
W.W. Gay Fire & Integrated System
Wolverine Fire Protection
Ross Group Construction secured an initial task order worth $3.6 million to design and build fire protection facilities for two hangars at a naval air station in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is scheduled to finish work by March 2018.
