Naval Information Warfare Systems Command plans to launch formal solicitations in the first half of fiscal year 2022 for a multiple-award contract vehicle to procure software development services from the small business community, according to a presolicitation notice posted on SAM.gov.
NAVWAR said Wednesday that the upcoming contract will cover efforts to develop, integrate and update software platforms for the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence.
The contracting program will also involve the use of agile development and data analytics approaches as PEO C4I looks to standardize a DevSecOps pipeline.
Selected vendors will aim to create software that would support the U.S. Navy’s cloud-based information technology platforms such as the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services and Shore Tactical Assured Command and Control programs.
The branch expects to award positions on the potential 10-year contract in the fourth quarter of FY22 or the first quarter of FY23.
