One joint venture and six independent firms have landed spots on a potential five-year, $100M contract from the U.S. Navy to support design-build projects within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s southwest area of responsibility.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will cover alteration, demolition, renovation, repair and construction services for multiple facility types such as hangars, fitness areas, retail venues and armories, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
NAVFAC received 33 proposals for the IDIQ and the service branch provided $35K in initial funds.
The contract has an initial period of two years along with a three-year option. Work will take place in Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and California.
