The U.S Navy has awarded five companies positions on a potential five-year, $99 million contract to provide construction, repair and renovation work on dry utilities construction projects in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command‘s Southwest region.
NAVFAC received 24 proposals for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that contains one base year and four option years, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
Project work will include areas electrical distribution systems, exterior lighting systems, airfield lighting systems, communications and security systems and grounding systems, among others, which will be performed within 60 months through March 2021 with four option years.
Work will occur in states such as California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.
