Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) has purchased Allen, Texas-based mobile video security company WatchGuard for an undisclosed amount in a move to expand offerings for the public safety sector.
WatchGuard produces security tools for integration with body cameras, in-car video surveillance and other evidence management systems and platforms, Motorola said Thursday.
John Kedzierski, senior vice president of video security solutions at Motorola, said WatchGuard™s recording technology can work to help public safety customers manage operational efficiency.
