Michelle OHara, a more than two-decade human resources professional, will assume the role of chief HR officer at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) on Oct. 1.
She will report directly to SAIC CEO and a 2019 Wash100 winner Nazzic Keene as a member of the companys leadership team and succeed the retiring Karen Wheeler, who will stay with the company through Dec. 1 to facilitate a transition as the government technology services contractor completes the Engility integration, SAIC said Wednesday.
Michelle is an impressive strategic leader for the HR team that is critical in our ability to recruit, retain and develop the best talent in our industry, Keene said.
OHara serves as senior vice president for HR at SAIC. She has been with the company for more than a decade leading the recruitment, talent strategy, executive compensation, payroll, inclusion and diversity and development functions.
Prior to SAIC, she worked at management consulting firm BearingPoint as head of global talent acquisition. She also held HR leadership roles at Perot Systems government services subsidiary and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
