Michael Bosco, formerly vice president and business development executive for the emerging markets group at Akima, has joined Sev1Tech as senior VP of Army mission solutions.
He will aim to grow Sev1Tech’s command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance technology offerings for the Army and special operations sector, the company said Tuesday.
Sev1Tech CEO Robert Lohfeld said Bosco brings his knowledge of mission requirements as the company aims to create value for Army C5ISR programs and accelerate its diversification efforts.
At Akima, Bosco oversaw capture and business development functions and helped manage the delivery of information technology services to federal customers.
He previously worked as executive VP and chief operating officer at Ops Tech Alliance, and held business development positions at Altamira Technologies and BAE Systems’ intelligence and security business.
His more than two-decade U.S. Army career included military and interagency personnel management work and operational experience during his assignments with Special Operations Command.
Bosco, who retired from military service in 2012 with the rank of sergeant major, received multiple government awards such as the Director of National Intelligence Certificate of Distinction.
