MetTel has received a potential $58 million contract to provide internet protocol network services to the U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Command.
The company said Tuesday it will update command infrastructure to support computers, telephones, mobile devices and video collaboration applications.
Under the contract, USMC’s recruitment organization will have access to an Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions portal and dashboard used to monitor communications and network services in near-real time.
“The MCRC decision to select MetTel to upgrade their nationwide network speaks to their confidence in our ability to transform their network and help modernize their legacy voice services through IP-based services,” said Robert Dapkiewicz, senior vice president and general manager of the federal business at MetTel.
The award includes options for the telecommunications firm to provide voice and Wi-Fi services to approximately 1,500 MCRC facilities.
MetTel is supporting MCRC in transition to the General Services Administration’s EIS telecom and infrastructure program.
