Two Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) business units have partnered with MetTel to pursue a Federal Aviation Administration contract for telecommunications and information management services intended to support National Airspace System operations.
Raytheon said Monday its intelligence and space unit, Collins Aerospace business and MetTel aim to provide the agency secure infrastructure in pursuit of the FAA Enterprise Network Services program.
Robert Dapkiewicz, senior vice president and general manager of MetTel’s federal group, said the company will bring its managed network experience to the FENS program and support the agency mission in partnership with Raytheon.
Denis Donohue, vice president of communications and airspace management systems at Raytheon Intelligence & Space, said the alliance plans to offer a “telecommunications-agnostic model” designed to help the FAA implement future technology platforms.
