MetTel has been named as an awardee of a potential $993.5 million contract to update wireless devices and services for the U.S. defense and federal civilian agencies. The company said Thursday that it can offer cellular equipment such as small form factor end-user hardware to the Department of Defense via the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Diana Gowen, senior vice president and general manager federal programs at MetTel, said the company will work to provide federal agencies packaged communication technology platforms.
Naval Supply Systems Command is the contracting activity for the Spiral 3 Wireless Services contract and received two offers through a full and open competition. MetTel also holds a position on the General Services Administration’s $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract.
The U.S. Marine Corps selected the company earlier this year to deliver internet services to the branch’s global recruiting command centers.
