William Conley , chief technology officer of Mercury Systems (Nasdaq: MRCY), has been named to the board of directors for the National Defense Industrial Association ‘s Central Georgia chapter.
He will serve as a board member for a term of up to six years and be part of the trade organization that aims to drive national security dialogue among government, commercial and academic stakeholders, Mercury said Thursday.
As the company’s CTO, Conley oversees strategic objectives, technical vision and technology investment efforts designed to address customer requirements.
He joined Mercury in 2019 from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he served as director of electronic warfare. His public sector career started in the U.S. Navy as an engineer and he later worked at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency as a program manager.
Conley became an advisory board member of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Defense Concepts and Technology in October.
