Maximus‘ (NYSE: MMS) federal business has received a potential five-year, $40M task order from the Internal Revenue Service to continue supporting custodial financial systems used to store and process tax information.
The company said Tuesday it seeks to help the agency comply with new tax legislation and the Government Accountability Office’s recommendation to use the U.S. General Ledger in tax processing as part of the Information Technology Financial Management Application Support order.
IRS issued the TFMAS award under the Alliant 2 contract vehicle.
“This award is a further extension of our ongoing commitment to serve the IRS and to support IT security, continuity, and optimization of financial management operations for years to come,” said Tom Romeo, president and general manager of Maximus Federal and a 2020 Wash100 awardee.
