Mark Anderson, formerly executive vice president of worldwide field operations at Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW), has been promoted to president at the Santa Clara, California-based firewall provider.
Palo Alto Networks said Monday he will report directly to Chairman and CEO Mark McLaughlin and be responsible for helping drive the company’s sales, go-to-market, customer support and business development strategies.
Anderson joined the company in 2012 after he served as EVP of worldwide sales at F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV) as well as held sales leadership roles at Xerox(NYSE: XRX), Comdisco, Cisco(Nasdaq: CSCO), RadioFrame Networks, Lucent Technologies.
He also currently serves on the board of directors of ExtraHop Networks and Avi Networks.
Dave Peranich, former SVP of worldwide sales at Riverbed Technology, joined Palo Alto Networks as EVP of worldwide sales and he will report directly to Anderson.
Peranich previously served as president of Riverbed’s worldwide field operations business and worked in various leadership positions at Centrata, Siebel Systems, Remedy Corp. and Oracle (NYSE: ORCL)
