The acquisition is aimed at advancing Knexus’ ability to meet increasing government customer demands for AI capabilities and to support business growth, the National Harbor, Maryland-based research and development company said Wednesday.
“[Knexus has been] a key enabler for the government to effectively and ethically deploy AI capabilities across a myriad of use cases,” commented Lurie, highlighting the company’s two-decade history of providing AI and data science offerings to government customers.
Under Lurie’s leadership, Knexus and its team of scientists and AI experts will continue developing and deploying software in support of the government enterprise.
The executive brings to Knexus experience from the technology industry. His previous roles include chief strategy officer of Torch.AI, president of Exiger Federal Government Solutions, CEO of Convergent Solutions and vice president at General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business.
