Louis Berger Adds James Bach, Nick Ivanoff, Thomas Lewis to Board; Ernest Portfors Retires as Board Chair

Louis Berger has announced the appointment of James Bach, Nick Ivanoff and Thomas Lewis to the board of directors and the retirement of Ernest Portfors after two years as board chairman.

Bach is a 35-year Louis Berger veteran who currently serves as president of the firm™s international division, the company said Monday.

He previously served as head of the U.S. operations business segment, chief operating officer for the company™s headquarters operations and principal-in-charge of programs for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Ivanoff currently serves as executive vice president of the company™s U.S. transportation market segment.

He spent more than two decades at Ammann & Whitney, where he served as president and CEO, and held leadership positions at the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.

Lewis, a 25-year Louis Berger vet, is president of the engineering company™s U.S. division and former head of the firm™s environment and disaster management practice and group VP of the U.S. business segment.

He serves on the Transportation Research Board and on Harvard University™s Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory Board.
