Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a potential five-year, $77.7 million contract to provide cybersecurity support for U.S. Navy information technology systems.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday Lockheed will help the military branch’s cyber personnel to design, analyze, develop, test, integrate, deploy and operate IT security platforms.
Five offers were submitted to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive acquisition process.
The Navy obligated $2.3 million in fiscal 2018 working capital funds at the time of award, DoD noted.
Eighty percent of the work will occur in China Lake, California, and the remaining 20 percent in Point Mugu, California; Patuxent River, Maryland; and Norfolk, Virginia.
The Pentagon expects Lockheed to finish contract work by December 2022.
