Lockheed to Help DoD Establish National Cyber Range Under $93M Contract

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a two-year, $93M contract to create a national cyber range to support the Department of Defense Cyber Mission Force™s training, mission rehearsal and certification functions.

The range will be established to facilitate test and evaluation of cybersecurity technology platforms under DoD acquisition programs, the Pentagon said Wednesday.

Army Contracting Command received one bid for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract and will determine funds and work locations upon issuance of individual orders.

Contract work is projected to conclude on Nov. 19, 2021.

The DoD Cyber Mission Force operates under U.S. Cyber Command and aims to help the department protect cyber infrastructure against adversarial attacks. The group reached full operational capacity in May last year and expanded its size to more than 6K personnel.
