Lockheed to Continue Army Hellfire II Missile Production Under $664M Contract Modification

The U.S. Army has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a $663.7 million contract modification to continue the production of Hellfire II air-to-ground missile systems.

Lockheed’s missiles and fire control business will perform work in Orlando, Florida, through Sept. 30, 2024, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The Hellfire II weapon has three warhead variants and is designed with semi-active laser technology to support precision strikes from military platforms such as the Army’s AH-64 Apache, OH-58 Kiowa Warrior and MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system.

Army Contracting Command issued a $702.9 million modification on the Hellfire II missile production contract with Lockheed in July of last year.
