Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $1.01 billion sole-source contract from the Space and Missile Systems Center to provide logistics services supporting the Space Based Infrared Surveillance system.
SMC expects Lockheed to complete the requirements under the fixed-price-incentive-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee and cost-reimbursement contract by July 1, 2026, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The defense and aerospace contractor will perform work at four locations within Colorado, including the Peterson and Buckley Air Force Bases and the Greeley Air National Guard Station.
The center will use money from the fiscal year 2021 operation and maintenance budget.
