Navy Contract Modification for F-35 Lot 21 Aircraft

The Department of Defense said Tuesday Lockheed’s aeronautics business will provide long lead materials, components and parts and related support for F-35 Lot 21 production aircraft of non-U.S. DOD partners and foreign military sales customers under a $92.9 million contract modification.

The contractor will perform work in Texas, California, Florida, New Hampshire, Maryland, the U.K., Italy and other locations outside the continental U.S. through May 2031.

Naval Air Systems Command is obligating $74.8 million in FMS customer funds and $18.1 million in non-DOD partner funds.

Navy Contract for F-35 Agile Software Development Support

The Lockheed aeronautics segment will provide Agile software development support for F-35 Lightning II capabilities and configurations of the Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy and non-DOD partners under a potential $72.1 million contract.

DOD said the contract seeks to improve the functionality of combat data systems common reprogramming tool minimum viable capability release for the F-35 program.

Work will occur in Texas and Florida through December 2028.

NAVAIR is obligating $4 million in Navy and Air Force research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal year 2025 and $890,876 in non-DOD partner funds.
