Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) secured a potential three-year, $362.7M contract to deliver M270A0, M270A1 and M270A2Multiple Launch Rocket Systems to the U.S. Army.
The company will also provide M270A2 flyaway package, production line spares and authorized stockage list kits as well as production line restart and proposal costs, the Department of Defense said Monday.
DoD added the contract will include over-and-above repair services and upgrade work on the launcher mechanical system and test stand.
Work is scheduled to occur through Nov. 30, 2022, in Arizona and Texas.
Army Contracting Command received one bid for the contract via the internet and will obligate $177.7M at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2019 other procurement funds.
MLRS can be operated by a three-member crew and are designed to fire as many as 12 surface-to-surface rockets in less than a minute, according to Lockheed.
