Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $547.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to manufacture Hellfire II semi-active laser-guided missiles.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday the modification covers the production of 7,358 Hellfire II missiles in containers and in a range of air-to-ground missile models.
Lockheed’s missiles and fire control business unit will perform work in Orlando, Florida, through Sept. 30, 2020.
The Army Contracting Command obligated the full modification amount from the service branch’s fiscal 2010, 2015, 2016 and 2017 “other” procurement funds.
Hellfire II missiles are designed to launch from various air, sea and ground platforms to engage advanced armor and urban point targets.
