Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) aeronautics business has received a $148.7 million U.S. Navy contract modification to provide recurring logistics support for F-35 Lightning II aircraft.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday the services will applied to F-35 units that have been delivered to the Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, as well as non-DoD and foreign military sales customers.
The modification covers ground maintenance, health and maintainability management, supply chain management, action request resolution and Automatic Logistics Information System operations and maintenance services.
Lockheed’s aeronautics business will perform work at various locations in Texas, Florida, California, South Carolina and the U.K.
The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate the modification’s full amount at the time of award and $62.5 million of the obligated funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
